When you register on UPLIFTX, we collect your name, email address, profile photo (if provided via Google OAuth), and any other details you voluntarily add to your profile. When you apply for a gig, we store your application details and any notes you submit.

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

We collect standard log data when you use our platform, including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This information helps us diagnose technical issues and understand how our platform is used.

1.3 Third-Party OAuth

If you sign in using Google OAuth, we receive your name, email, and profile image from Google as permitted by their Terms of Service. We do not receive your Google password.

We use your information to: • Create and manage your UPLIFTX volunteer account • Match you with relevant volunteer gig opportunities • Send notifications about your application status, new gigs, and platform updates • Enable event organizers (admins) to review and manage volunteer applications • Improve the platform experience through usage analytics • Send administrative emails such as password resets and important policy updates

3.1 With Event Organizers

When you apply for a gig, your name, profile details, and application status become visible to the UPLIFTX admin team managing that event. Your information is never sold to third parties.

3.2 Service Providers

We use trusted third-party services to operate the platform, including MongoDB Atlas (database hosting), UploadThing (file uploads), and Google OAuth (authentication). These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

3.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law or in response to valid legal requests by public authorities.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you request deletion of your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal or legitimate business purposes.

UPLIFTX uses session cookies to manage authentication (via NextAuth.js). These cookies are essential for the platform to function and cannot be disabled. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You may configure your browser to refuse cookies, but this may prevent certain features from working correctly.

UPLIFTX is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via email or a prominent notice on the platform.
